The Portsmouth Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating the following individual:

Anthony Cook
Date of birth 12/30/89
6 Jackson Street, Apt. B
Rochester, N.H.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Mr. Cook for:

2 counts of Burglary (both class A Felonies),
1 count of Receiving Stolen Property (class A Felony).

These criminal charges stem from an investigation that began on February 9th, 2007, involving a burglary at the Seacoast Variety Store located at 1350 Woodbury Avenue in Portsmouth. (Refer to the attached previous press release for background information and for a related arrest).

It is alleged that Mr. Cook was not only involved in the Seacoast Variety Store burglary, but also an additional burglary at Joe’s New York Pizza located at 2698 Lafayette Road in Portsmouth that same night. Both burglary scenes were processed for evidence that night by detectives, as well as the suspect’s vehicle that was also seized.

Search warrants were subsequently conducted, DNA evidence was collected and multiple follow-up interviews were also conducted. The New Hampshire State Police Forensic Laboratory in Concord was instrumental in assisting with these investigations.
