Reference: Burglaries

The Portsmouth Police Department is investigating two burglaries that took place some time in the early morning hours of Friday, December 28th, 2007. The burglaries occurred at businesses located next door to each other at the Bowl-a-Rama Plaza at 599 Lafayette Road in Portsmouth.

Officer Christopher Kiberd, while on patrol at 4:40 AM, discovered that the front glass doors to both the Kim Lai Restaurant and the L.A. Nails Salon were shattered, and that entry had been gained.

Detectives also responded and processed the scene. At this time, we are not publicly disclosing what specific items were taken, so that the investigation is not compromised.
